I'll Just Do It Myself

They say if you want something done right... you know the rest.

They say good help is hard to...you know the rest.

I have a complex, and it's called "Fuck it. I'll do it myself." I used to be more trusting of people, but wasted time and missed deadlines killed a great deal of that optimism. By all accounts, I'm extremely picky when it comes to what I want. I spend a lot of time and money on self-development and learning new techniques that it just becomes too much to bring others up to speed at times.

This line of thinking, although real and honest, is also what gets many entrepreneurs in a bind. Instead of being focused on how to secure better assistance, we place ourselves in a perpetual cycle of working in our businesses versus on our businesses which hurts us more in the long run. When you have a standard, it's hard to accept and operate on anything less than what you want.

How do you handle moments when you just feel like doing it all solo?
